The code step is deliberate: without it, this form could be used to find out whether somebody else’s address is on the list. That is why every answer here reads the same whether an address is on it or not.

Waitlist entries are also deleted automatically 540 days after signup. What is stored and why is in the Privacy Policy; other requests are covered by Data Requests.
